B’pora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Monday visited flash flood hit areas of Kudara, Sumlar, Chuntimulla of Arin block to take on spot inspection of situation arised due to recent flash floods.
The DC was accompanied by DDC Member Arin, BDC, TehsildarBandipora, BDO, officers and officials of PMGSY, PHE and PRIs.
Enroute, the DC also met the public to listen to their issues and grievances.
The locals raised various issues regarding road, water supply and other essentials.
The DC directed Tehsildar for assessment of damage caused due to recent flash floods. He also directed concerned to take up fencing work wherever required to avoid erosion and flash floods.
He also assured the public that all issues related to PMGSY shall be resolved on priority.
Dr. Owais also urged the people not to encroach the roads, nallahs, and drains in their respective areas, as encroachment is the basic cause of these floods and water logging.
Later, DrOwais interacted with students of the area where issues related to fencing, playfields, etc were resolved on spot.
