S.P College, AICTE organize Awareness prog for PMSSS J&K

Srinagar :  The S. P. College, Srinagar and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi on Saturdayorganised a day-long awareness programme for the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for Jammu & Kashmir.

The programme was attended in huge numbers by the aspiring students and their parents from all districts of Kashmir.

The Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Khurshid Ahmad Khan in his inaugural address welcomed the guests, aspiring students and their parents. He encouraged students to take full benefit of the central scheme and enlarge their career options.

The principal thanked AICTE for their efforts in providing new avenues to the student community of J&K.

Prof. AjeetAngral (consultant PMSSS) was the expert speaker on the occasion. He appreciated the talent of students from J&K and underlined that it is only proper guidance and helping hand which is needed to boost their morale.

Prof. Ajeet explained the detailed process for obtaining the PMSSS scholarship. He gave tips to the aspiring students for obtaining success and emphasised that the choice options are very crucial for availing benefits of the scheme. He explained the documentation needed and the process to be followed.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session.

The day-long programme was moderated by Prof. Nadia Shah (Dept of English) and the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. ZaffarMajeed (HoD Information Technology) who was the coordinator of the programme. The other members of the organising committee were Prof. Shahid Ahmad Wani, Prof. Zarka Malik, Prof. MagrayAijaz and Dr. QaziAshiqHussain. Members of Dean Students Welfare, Career Counselling Committee and Mentor-Mentee Committee of S. P. College facilitated the programme.
