Srinagar : Under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and as a part of celebrations of 76th Independence Day, a “Tiranga Rally” was on Saturday organized by J&K Armed Police 13th Bn. Humhama at APC Humham.
According to the statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters here, the rally was flagged off by Shamsheer Hussain, Commandant JKAP 13th Bn in which about 200 students from Bright Horizons Higher Secondary Institute Sheikhpora Humhama participated. The rally started from the School Campus and culminated at Armed Police Complex Humhama.
After concluding the rally, a symposium-cum-debate competition on the topic “National Integration, Drug Abuse, Social Evils and Our Responsibilities” was also organized wherein 10 students of the said school have presented their point of view on the given topics. While speaking in symposium-cum-debate competition, the Commandant JKAP 13th Bn Shamsheer Hussain, stressed upon the students to imbibe a sense of national integration being part of this largest democracy of the world. He also underscored the role of the students in eradication of social evils from the society as they can be ambassadors of eradication of such evils eating the very vital of the society. He thanked the school administration for supporting the unit for organizing of this mega rally
On this occasion, the Administrator of the School Syed Feroz Ahmad Shah while speaking lauded the initiatives of J&K Police in providing the platform for students to display their talent besides organizing the Tiranga rallies to infuse a sense of national integration in the minds of young generation.
According to the above referred statement, while concluding the event,certificates and Mementos were also presented to all the speakers, besides, cash rewards were also awarded to the meritorious participants who were declared as 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders in the competition.
