Baramulla : As part of a series of activities being carried out by J&K Police to commemorate ‘AazadiKaAmritMahotsav’ and to promote Swachh Bharat Mission (Clean India Campaign), the IRP-21st Bn. APC Parihasporaon Saturday conducted a ‘Cleanliness Drive’ under Civic Action Programme-2022 in and around Yakhmanpora village of Tehsil Singhpora, Baramulla in collaboration with Govt. Middle School Yakhmanpora.
The motive of the cleanliness drive was to develop and inherit a civic sense among the officers/officials of the Police department, school children and general public of Yakhmanpora village and adjoining areas about environmental cleanliness, hazards of pollution and effects of polythene on environment.
Earlier, Muneer Ahmad (SP) Dy,Commandant IRP-21stBn while addressing a gathering of police personnel/students and civilians emphasized on developing habit cleanliness as cleanliness is most important for physical wellbeing and healthy environment.
Cleanliness being social/moral responsibility not only strengthens the police public relations but also contributes towards the social cause, he added.
During Cleanliness Drive, 04 large size ‘USE ME’ (Dust Bins) were installed in Yakhmanpora Village besides 35 medium/small size dust bins were also handed over to Govt. Middle School Yakhmanpora and Numberdar, Sarpanch and members of Mohalla committees of Diver and Yakhmanpora, Singpora.
Besides this, certificates were given to participating students as an encouragement towards social activities and refreshment with high tea was also served to the guests/participants.
