DLSA Udhampur hosts awareness prog on Sexual Exploitation, trafficking in NMGHSS

Udhampur: District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, under the able guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, (Y.P Bourney) and overall supervision of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority UdhampurRajni Sharma, Friday organized an awareness programme at Nehru Memorial Higher Secondary School Udhampur.
The aim of the Programme was to raise Awareness about the issues related to commercial Sexual Exploitation and trafficking. The Resource Person of the Programme was Panel Lawyer Adv. Sanjeet Kumar.
The resource person, while raising awareness about the sensitive subject, informed the participants about the different initiatives taken by the Government of India for the welfare of Victims of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation. The participants were enlightened about different provisions of NALSA (Victims of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation) Scheme, 2015.
The Principal of the School along with the School Staff and Students were present in the Programme. PLV Rachna Devi assisted the Resource Person in the smooth organization of the Awareness Programme.
