Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a theft case by arresting three accused persons involved in commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issuedfrom the Zonal Police Headquarters here police said that Police Station Vilgamon on 24th August, 22 received inputs about theft of communication cables in village Hafrada following which a case vide FIR No. 96/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Vilgam and investigation was initiated.
Stating that during the course of investigation, after strenuous efforts and based on leads developed during the investigation, three accused involved in the commission of crime were traced by joint parties of Police and Army and were subsequently arrested, Police in it’s statement further said that those arrested have been identified as Owais Reyaz Lone S/O Reyaz Ahmed Lone R/O Redbugh Kupwara, Amir Ahmed Ganie S/O Farooq Ahmed Ganie R/O Check Keegam Kupwara and Nayeem Ahmed Bhagat S/O Ab. Rashid Baghat R/O Gulgam Kupwara.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that after taking the above named accused into custody, police recovered stolen cables from their possession and vehicle bearing registration number JK09-9702 used in the commission of crime was also seized. Police in the concluding para of it’s above referred statement further said that people of the area have applauded the efforts made by the Police in cracking the burglary cases.
