Weekly Block Diwas: Varied services delivered to locals across Doda

Domicile, Category certificates, rev papers issued to people, scores of grievances resolved on spot by concerned Deptts

Doda : The District Administration Doda on Wednesday held weekly Block Diwas proceedings across the designated places of the district to redress the public grievances and to provide them varied services on the spot.

The program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

The teams of different departments along with the frontline field functionaries, delivered varied services to the people and listened to their grievances. They also imparted general awareness about the welfare, self-employment and social schemes and urged the people to take maximum benefit of  the same.

The Block Diwas Program was held at four designated locations including Panchayat Charota B in Sub Division Assar, Panchayat Gadi A in Doda,Panchayat Changa B in Sub Division Gandoh, besides in the Revenue Complex at Sub Division Thathri.

The BDC Chairpersons, ACD Doda, SDMs, Tehsildars, BDOs met with PRIs and general public at these four locations, listened to their grievances, and sought feedback from the locals with regard to the implementation of individual welfare schemes and other social security schemes. The line departments were directed to ensure cent percent saturation of all welfare schemes.

In all, 61 grievances/applications were received during the program, out of which 50 feasible grievances were addressed by the officers/officials of respective departments on the spot and rest were sent to the concerned quarters for time bound and quality redressal. Besides, several services which included 10 category certificates, 15 Domicile certificates, 07 different revenue papers/extracts and 02 KCCs were issued to the eligible beneficiaries on the spot.

The officer incharge of the Block Diwas programs, as per the instruction of DDC Doda, directed the line departments to reach out to the public to address their genuine demands at their doorstep and remain available in their respective areas of jurisdiction during duty hours.
