Prosthetic aid assessment camp held  at Kissan Kendra Jammu

Jammu :   A Prosthetic aid assessment camp was on Tuesday organized by Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Basohli here at Kisan Kendra, Jammu.

In the camp measurements of limbs of people affected by polio and those who lost their legs due to diabetes, accidents etc were taken.

Director Agriculture Jammu, K.K Sharma was the special guest on the occasion. He said that many times the physical obstacles result in the mental hurdles and life virtually stops. “The aids like artificial limbs will encourage physically challenged  people to lead a normal life” he said. “ Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Basohli has taken a great initiative to empower the differently-abled” he said.

Shakti Pathak, Director of Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Basohli, said that the camp targets to install artificial legs and arms to 150 to 200  PwDs and so far 90 beneficiaries have been registered. He said they have planned to host another camp for the differently-abled persons of Kathua and Basohli on August 25, 2022. The timing of measurement will be from 9 am to 5 pm.

Mahant Rohit Shastri, member of the institute, told that artificial limbs of the Divyangs registered Tuesday will be prepared and distributed among the beneficiaries  at Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Basohli and Kisan Kendra, Gole Puli Talab Tillo , Jammu on  17th September at 10 am.
