B’pora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad on Tuesday chaired a review meeting on Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at mini secretariat, here.
During the meeting the DC took detailed review of tendering, allotment of work and other issues.
He directed all the concerned to expedite the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) with execution of High altitude works on priority.
The meeting was informed that Letter of intent is issued for 122 works which is 53 percent of JJM and 06 works are already completed under JJM and work has been started on 116 JJM Works.
The DC directed the concerned to maintain a timeline to start all components. He also directed to also prioritise schools (if any uncovered) for coverage under JJM.
Dr. Owais directed the concerned officers to monitor the works regularly and ensure quality in works. He stressed on early removal of bottlenecks for timely completion of all works.
He emphasized upon community participation by involving PRIs in the execution and post execution management of schemes for better results.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora Afsar Ali Khan, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Ex. Er. Jal Shakti and other concerned officers.
