Srinagar : President J&K National Conference Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday has expressed profound grief over two separate fire incidents in Sultanpora Kandi, Baramulla and in Bemina where a number of shops and houses were reduced to ashes.
In a statement released from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subh, Srinagar Dr Farooq expressed sympathies and condolences with the affected shopkeepers, traders and household owners. He also impressed upon the divisional administration to reach out to affected traders with adequate relief and compensation.
Meanwhile party’s MP from Baramulla Muhammad Akbar Lone, and part’s other senior leaders have demanded setting up of the fire tender stations in different areas of the Baramulla district especially at Boniyar, Narvaw and Kandi area where the local populace have been often raising voice in favour of this long pending demand.
