Srinagar : Young BJP leader and DDC member from Khonmoh Er Aijaz Hussain today led a delegation from Lasjan areas of Srinagar to Secretary J&K sports Council Nuzhat Gul and demanded development of play field at Lasjan and Indoor Stadium at Balhama.
In a statement issued here on Monday Er Aijaz Hussain said that he met Secretary Sports Council Nuzhat Gul and sought her intervention in development of play field at Lasjan and setting up of an Indoor Stadium at Balhama area of Srinagar.
He said the play field at Lasjan often witnesses water logging and directions were passed to concerned AE and JEs to prepare a DPR for the immediate upgradation of Lasjan play field. Er Aijaz said that since the level of playfield is in a haphazard manner, water logging is routine at the Play field which causes a huge inconvenience to youth of the area.
Er Aijaz told Secretary Sports Council that at Lasjan, youth were facing lot of difficulties due to the shabby and dilapidated condition of Play field and that efforts should made forthwith to develop and repair the Lasjan play field so that youth can play and take part in various physical activities.
The BJP leader said that he presented a detailed memorandum to Secretary Sports Council wherein he highlighted the reasons for establishing an Indoor Stadium at Balhama. Er Aijaz said the Indoor Stadium at Balhama will provide a platform to the youth of area and also the youth of Srinagar and other districts who have a great talent in various games. He said once the Indoor Sports Stadium will be set up in Balhama, the youth will have an opportunity to showcase their talent in various indoor games including football, rugby, hockey, and other games.
Secretary Sports Council Nuzhat Gul assured all the possible help to Er Aijaz and also promised him that Indoor Stadium will be set up at Balhama while as Lasjan playfield will be developed on modern lines
