Burglary cases solved in B’la, 4 accused arrested, stolen property worth lacs recovered : Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has solved two burglary cases by arresting four accused persons involved in the commission of crimes in Baramulla and also recovered stolen property worth lacs from their possession.

In a statement issued on Monday Police said that during the investigation of case FIR No. 240/2022 of Police Station Pattan in which household items were taken away by the burglars at Bhat Colony Mirgund Pattan, the investigating officers led by In-charge Police Post Mirgund, after strenuous efforts arrested three burglars identified as Aijaz Ahmad Malla son of Gh Mohd Malla, Syed Ubaid Shah son of Syed Mustafa Shah and Zaffar Hussain Wani son of Nisar Ahmad Wani, all residents of Yakhmanpora Pattan.

Stating that on the disclosure of the above named accused stolen property including copper utensils, shoes, gold ring and cash were recovered, Police in the above referred statement further said that during the investigation of a burglary case FIR No. 233/2022 of Police Station Pattan in which burglary was taken place at Saderbal Palhallan, Pattan, the investigating officers led by In-charge Police Post Palhalan, after hectic efforts arrested an accused person identified as Umar Ahmad Khanday son of Gh Mohammad Khanday resident of Khanday Mohalla Pattan, Stating therein further that on his disclosure, stolen property including copper utensils and water pumps were recovered.

In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any criminal activities.
