O P Sharma’s Art displayed in Photography Exhibition

Jammu : The photography art works of O P Sharma, a well known photographer and painter of Jammu (J&K) have been displayed in 5th Online Photography Exhibition organized by Photo Asian and BlessIndia Foodsand Drugs Pvt. Ltd. to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and World Photography Day. Mukesh Singh Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone Jammu was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the exhibition.
Mukesh Singh the ADGP Jammu appreciated the organizers for holding the show photography show on World Photography Day. He said that such events provide a platform to the all range of photographers to showcase their talent and portray the life of the communities. He also complimented senior photographer Naresh Sharma, curator of this photography exhibition. It may be mentioned here that Sh. O P Sharma, born in 1954 at Kot, Jammu Tawi (J&K), is a working photographer and painter. He has been associated with the art & cultural activities for the last many decades. He is the Founder Director of Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu and has been running it for the last 23 years, and has conducted a large number of art, culture and literary programs at state, national and international levels.. His solo shows of photography and paintings have been held at Vallabh Vidyanagar; Ahmedabad; Jammu, Amritsar; New Delhi; Jaipur and Dehradun. He has held 11 group shows at New Delhi; Amritsar; Lucknow etc. He has been honoured with Hon’ble Mention Award by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, 1995; by India Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar, 2005, 2009; 1st Award by WWF J&K Chapter, Jammu 2000 and International Excellence Award by ‘Snehil’, Dehradun.
The participating photo- artists hailing from different states of the country included in this exibition are Afzal Shah, Agrim Pandotra, Arpit Gupta, Ashwani Nagpal, Ashwani Attri, Capt. Santosh Kumar, Channi Anand, Chhatra Singh, Dr. Bhola Nath, Dr. Govind Bhattacharjee, Dr. Manisha Bajpai, Dr. Shishir Bansal, Dr. C S Sahukar, Gajindra Singh, Gaurav Singh, Gurdeep Dhiman, Harish Tyagi, Hemant Rawat, Kamal Rastogi, Kapil Kapoor, Karan Singh, Lippi Parida, Master Krish, Nainika Gupta, Naresh Sharma, Neeraj Upadhayay, O P Sharma, Pradeep Gour, Praveen Khanna, Qazi M Raghib, Rajeev Tyagi, Rajesh Bhasin, Raman Raina, Randir Singh, Reema Garg, Sanjay Kumar, Seema Gupta, Shivam Gupta, Surendra Jain, Vaibhav Shukla, Virender Singh and Vivek Yadav.
