DDC Rajouri reviews progress work on NH-144A

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress on NH-144A.
The Officers present in the meeting were ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; AC Defence, Saleem Quershi and concerned officers from BRO.
The meeting was informed that the NH144A widening project comprises 8 packages, taking off from Akhnoor and ending in Poonch. The meeting discussed progress of work on package 03 and package 04 falling in the jurisdiction of Rajouri District.
Inquiring about the acquisition of land and removal of structures for widening of the National Highway, the DDC directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely payment of compensation to the rightful claimants. He further asked the concerned officers to mobilize men and machinery to complete the work on the project within the already set deadline.
The DDC also directed to maintain quality while executing the work on the projects and also made it clear that no laxity shall be tolerated in this regard.
For timely clearance of the bottlenecks, he also asked to maintain interdepartmental coordination and hold regular meetings to sort out issues, if any.
