DM directs concerned Deptt to resolve people’s issues on priority

Doda| Aug, 17: District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma on Wednesday chaired a weekly block diwas program at Jodhpur Panchayat of block Ghat and listened to the grievances of the public and passed necessary instructions to the concerned departments to address the projected issues on priority.
During the program numerous issues were raised by local representatives and general public, which included payment of compensation for the land acquired for Jodhpur Mohalla road, renovation of local 5 KM canal, construction of Anganwadi centres, restoration of water supply scheme Babore, construction of playfield, release of pending MGNREGA liability, meeting shortage of staff in schools, opening of JK Bank branch, speedy execution of Jodhpur water supply scheme, enrollment of Non Secc people, besides other issues of public importance were highlighted for which the DDC Doda paid patient hearing.
With regard to the issue of compensation of land acquired for different roads in Jodhpur, the DDC directed the R&B to share the status of amount involved in each road, besides available unspent amount within the next one week.
With regard to lift irrigation, the DDC directed the concerned to share the status of the amount related to the scheme, besides asking them to share the status of the shopping complex which is reportedly under illegal possession.
He further asked to take measures to prevent man-animal conflict keeping in view the reports of leopard roaming in the area. The Wildlife department was asked to deploy men in the area to handle the situation carefully.
Regarding construction of Anganwadi centres, it was apprised by the locals that free land is available. The DDC has directed the concerned to transfer the land, while Tehsildar Doda was directed to identify a patch of state land which can be developed as a playfield.
The BMO Ghat was directed to organize an eye check up camp for the locals of the area this month, while the PHE department was directed to launch the JJM scheme of Jodhpur in coordination with DDC and BDC Chairperson within a week.
While responding to the issue of pending payment of rent of food store at Ghar, the DDC directed the AD FCS&CA to clear the arrears.
Regarding the enrollment of Non Secc people, the DDC directed the Assistant Director FCS&CA to seek explanation from the TSO.
The DDC member Ghat and BDC Chairperson, among others were present on the occasion.
The Block diwas was also organised at other four designated locations where BDC Chairpersons, DDC members, SDMs, Tehsildars and other key functionaries of line departments listened to the issues of general public.
During the program held across the district domicile certificates, category certificates, revenue extracts, Birth/Death certificates were also issued to the locals on the spot. Besides 18 families were covered under Ayushman Bharat scheme, while 107 grievances were recorded and 77 were disposed of on the spot and the rest were sent to the concerned quarters for time bound redressal.
