CUK holds concluding ceremony of PGDGC internship

Srinagar : The “Internship Concluding Ceremony” of the students of Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling (PGDGC), Department of Education, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) was held at Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), Bemina here on Wednesday.
According to the statement issued by the PRO here, the students took active part in all the activities conducted during the 20 day internship period under the supervision of PGDGC faculty members.
Vice chancellor, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah, President and co-founder VMS, Prof. Mir Muhammad Maqbool, Dean, SOE, Prof. Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, Secretary, VMS, Prof. Masooda Yaseen, Course In charge, Dr. Masood ul Hassan, Dr. Sehar ul Nissa, other functionaries of VMS and university were also present on the occasion.
In his address, Prof. Mir Mohammad Maqbool talked about the objectives of VMS and praised the work of his organization by saying that people and children with special needs have got a new lease of life here.
Meanwhile, Prof. Zahoor Ahmad Geelani complimented VMS and PGDGC students for making the event successful and lauded the VMS for reformative and humanistic work in the valley. He gave suggestions to PGDGC students for their forthcoming endeavours.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah praised all the specially abled students for performing the cultural programme beautifully and appreciated the VMS for their noble work. Prof. Shah said one of the most important things you can do in this world is to let people know that they are not alone. He presented souvenir to VMS on behalf of the PGDGC, Batch 2022 as token of appreciation while as Prof. Mir Mohammad Maqbool, also presented mementos to Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah and Prof. Zahoor Ahmad Geelani.
On this occasion, PGDGC student, Ms. Asiya Bashir conducted the programme proceedings while VMS Secretary, Prof. Masooda Yaseen proposed the vote of thanks
