DC Ramban Chairs District Advisory Committee meet on PC & PNDT

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam on Tuesday chaired a meeting of District Advisory Committee on Pre- Conception and Prenatal Diagnosis Techniques (PC & PNDT), here Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by the President Municipal Council Ramban, Sunita Sumberia; ADC Harbans Lal; CPO Dr. Kasturi Lal; CMO, Dr. Kamal Zadu; Medical Superintendent District Hospital, DSWO, CDPO and other members.
Threadbare discussion was held on various issues which included registration & renewal of ultrasound Centres, implementation of preconception and prenatal diagnostic techniques Act for monitoring and implementation of PC&PNDT Act.
While stressing upon effective implementation of the PC&PNDT Act, the DC passed directions to concerned officers to take action against persons found violating the Act besides conducting frequent inspections of ultrasound clinics to enforce its compliance.
It was informed that the applications have also been received online for provisional registration of establishments in the district. The DC asked the members to follow proper procedure while dealing with applications for grant of provisional registrations.
