Health Block Katra celebrates AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV with GMS Manoon

Jammu : In continuation to the celebrations related to the Independence Day, Block Medical Officer Katra organized a plantation drive at HWC Manoon in collaboration with Government Middle School Manoon.
The function started with the unfurling of the National flag at GMS Manoon followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the patriotic Students of MS Manoon in presence of Sandokh Ram, Head Master, BansiLal, BanarsiLal, Pinky Devi &RuhiPadha.
After the cultural performance at MS Manoon, a Tiranga rally was taken from MS Manoon to HWC Manoon where a plantation drive was carried out.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. GopalDutt, Block Medical Officer Katra explained in detail the importance of trees to keep the environment clean and sustainable.
He also delivered a brief lecture regarding maintenance of hygienic conditions in and around their neighbourhood. He called upon the students to adopt ancient practices of Bharat varshi.e Yoga in daily life, Healthy Dietary Habits keeping the personal hygiene at most priority etc for their overall personality development. The function concluded with light refreshment to the students and participating officials.
