Govt directs all Govt, semi-Govt. offices, Educational Institutions to hoist tricolor

Srinagar: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued instructions to hoist the national flag ‘Tricolor’ in all government and semi-government offices, including all educational institutions.
An order issued from the General Administration Department (GAD) reads ‘In connection with the Amrit Mahotsav and commemoration of 75 years of India’s independence, it has been decided that all government buildings, offices in Jammu and Kashmir including universities, colleges, schools, urban local body offices, tehsils, blocks, National Flag will be hoisted on Independence Day 2022 in Panchayats, Patwar Khans etc”. However the Government in it’s above quoted order said , it has to be ensured that the National Flag is hoisted in a proper and appropriate manner with respect to the Flag Code, for which the Information Department will create awareness among all stakeholders. Heads of Departments and Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to strictly follow the above instructions.
