J&K GCC condoles demise of former Div Com Kashmir Akbar Khan, sympathises bereaved family

Srinagar: The J&K Group of Concerned Citizens( J&K GCC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing away ofMohammad Akbar Khan, a former IAS officer and former Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
According to a statement issued by J&K GCC it’s Chairman Mohammad Shafi Pandit,called late Mohammad Akbar Khan as a seasoned and knowledgeable officer whose contribution as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and Deputy Commissioner to the working of the Revenue Deptt will be remembered for a long time. He further said that Sh. Khan was always helpful to the public and worked hard for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir and particularly for the people of Kashmir where he remained posted for most part of his career. The members of the GCC conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayers for magfirat and Jannat ul firdous for the departed soul.
