Chari Yatra kick-starts at Poonch to BudhaAmarnath Shrine

Poonch : The Holy Chari Mubarak Yatra, led by Acharya Shri 1008 Mahamandleshwar Swami Vishavatman and Saraswati Ji Maharaj, was taken out on Tuesday here from DashnamiAkharaMandir complex Poonch to ShriBudhaAmarnathJi Shrine at Rajpura, Mandi.
The yarta commenced after performing special Puja and Havan amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras at AkharaMandirPoonch. Besides head priest- Swami VishavatmanandSaraswatiJiMaharaj, many religious personalities gathered for the Holy Yatra.
Deputy Commissioner, InderJeet; DIG RajouriPoonch Range; Dr MohdHaseeb Mughal; SSP, RohitBaskotra; ADC, Dr BashrstHussain; senior Former legislator, RavinderRaina; Ex MLC, Vibod Gupta were among others present on the occasion.
After the Pooja and Hawan, a grand religious congregation was addressed by Swami Ji. Prominent civil society members of different communities also participated in the congregation manifesting the traditional communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in the region.
It is said that this ancient Shrine of Lord Shiva, is situated at the place in Himalayas, where Rishi Pulatsya- the grandfather of the King Ravana of Lanka, had worshiped for many decades. Pulast River flowing down from Loran-Mandimountains of PirPanjal (Himalayas) to Poonch and PoK has been named after the name of this great Saint.
The Chari Mubarak will remain in the temple for two days and will be brought back on the next day of Raksha Bandhan.
