DGP sanctions welfare relief of over Rs 7.8 lakh to retired police personnel

Says “Over Rs 62 Cr sanctioned under different welfare schemes so far”

DGP sanctions Rs.2.04 crore as Spl Welfare Relief for NoKs of slain, deceased police personnel,SPOs

Srinagar : Rs 785000 welfare relief to NoKs of deceased police personnel and the NoK’s of slain police personnel/SPOs under two different orders issued by PHQ.
According to a statement issued from Police Headquarters, DGP has sanctioned Rs 5,55000 to of 48 retired police personnel and 10 NoKs of deceased police personnel. The financial assistance has been provided for their self treatment, treatment of their dependents and marriage of daughters. Under another order, the DGP has sanctioned Rs 23,5000 to NOKs of twenty Police personnel/SPO for their medical treatment and marriage of their wards.
According to the above referred statement, the Police Headquarter has been providing financial assistance to it serving/retired Police personnel, SPOs and their wards. Schemes are also in place for the assistance of families of the slain/deceased police personnel and their wards. Police headquarters under its different welfare schemes has sanctioned more than 62 crore this year so far.
