DC Kishtwar reviews progress of PMDP, other projects

Executing agencies asked to adhere to timelines

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the sector-wise physical and financial progress of projects taken up under Prime Minister Development Programme (PMDP) besides other ongoing mega Projects in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Sham Lal; Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; DGM JKPCC, XEns, CMO Kishtwar besides Representatives of various Executing Agencies and Indenting Departments.
Extensive deliberations were held to review the progress of key/Iconic developmental projects being executed to augment infrastructure in Healthcare, Education, Tourism, Power, Housing & Urban development sectors.
The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the senior officers to regularly review the execution of PMDP projects and address bottlenecks, if any, to ensure their timely completion.
It was informed that the majority of the projects are advancing as per decided timelines and are at various stages of completion.
The meeting was further informed that the civil works on BSC Nursing College Kishtwar, TFC GulabGarh Paddar have been completed.
The progress of work on the Additional 100 bedded block at District Hospital, GDC Paddar building and ST Hostel at GDC Chatroo, Multipurpose Indoor sports Hall, Kishtwar, 25 bedded SDH Atholi , Govt Polytechnic College Kishtwar, Foot suspension bridge at Atholi was also reviewed in the meeting and necessary directions were given to concerned.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the executing agencies to strictly adhere to the timeline and stressed to expedite the pace of work to meet the deadlines of these projects.
He directed the concerned officers to work in synergy with other departments to get the works completed within the stipulated time frame.
