Grievance redressal camp held at B’pora

B’pora : Continuing with the Block Diwas initiatives of LG’s Administration, a special public grievance redressal camp was held at Khayar Bandipora on Wednesday to get the first hand appraisal of the issues faced by the public.
The programme witnessed huge participation of locals who were enthusiastic about presenting the issues of the area before the District Administration.
The Grievance Redressal camp at Khayar was presided by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Afsar Ali Khan and was attended by ACD Bandipora Ab Rashid Das, Tehsildar Bandipora, BDO Bandipora and other officers from District Administration besides field functionaries of various departments.
Apart from other issues, people raised the issues of regular power supply, availability of pure drinking water, Solid Waste management in Panchayats, renovation of water bodies and facility for door to door collection of waste.
The ADDC gave patient hearing to all the grievances and demands of the public and sought on the spot response from the concerned officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp.
Addressing the gathering, the ADDC said the purpose of holding such grievance redressal Camps is to take appraisal of local issues from the general public for precise and on-ground assessment for their time bound redressal.
He urged the local youth to come forward and avail the benefits of different welfare schemes of the Government launched for hand holding of the youth.
Similarly, a public grievance redressal camp was held at block office Gurez which was presided by Sub-divisional Magistrate Gurez, Dr Mudasir Wani and was attended by officers of various departments besides general public.
