DDC Kishtwar presides over Weekly Block DiwasProgramme at Mughal Maidan

DM also distributes Land Passbooks among owners

Kishtwar : To redress the grievances of people at their doorstep, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma on Wednesday presided over the weekly Block DiwasProgramme here at TRC Mughal Maidan and in Village Sigdi.
The programme was attended by SDM Chatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ACD, AtulDutt Sharma; DSWO, Zubair Ahmed, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan, NayeemIqbal Sheikh, BDO Mughal Maidan, SaimaRamzan Sheikh, CAHO, Dr Sanjay Kumar Sen; DSHO, BMO besides other field functionaries of PMGSY, PWD, PHE, PDD etc.
During the programme the public delegations led by the PRIs of PanchayatSigdiA, Sigdi B, Sigdi B1, Rahalthal, Drubeel and Mughal Maidan highlighted issues and grievances of their respective areas. They demanded up-gradation of local infrastructure and smooth delivery of public Services.
The main grievances and issues raised by delegations included expediting the execution work of Bridge in PanchayatSigdi B, construction of new and Blacktopping of existing roads, release of compensation for land and structures, meeting shortage of water in BallanaPanchayat, shortage of staff in school at Rahalthal, Awas Plus issues, Flood related issues in Sigdi B panchayat, replacement of poles and restoration of power supply damaged due to rains, easing of KCC formalities, mobile connectivity at Sigdi B1 Panchayat besides expediting the forest clearance of road in Drubeelpanchayat among others.
After listening to the grievances, the DDC Kishtwar redressed the majority of them on the spot by seeking the intervention of the concerned District officers present in the programme.
All the officers were asked to record grievances related to their departments for redressal of the same in a time bound manner.
The DDC Kishtwar urged the masses to avail the online services being provided by various departments for the ease of common people. He enlightened them about the “ApkiZameenApkiNigrani” initiative rolled out by Government of UT J&K to enable the owners to access the land record just at one click on their mobile phones.
Later, the DDC Kishtwar visited KGBV Mughal Maidan and High School MulchiterSigdi and Bhata and interacted with the students. The locals projected the requirement of an additional block for HS Sigdi, besides filling of vacant posts of Masters which was noted by the concerned officers for necessary action. On the spot directions were issued to Tehsildar Mughal maidan for submission of a detailed report regarding the requirement of building for GHS Sigdi and GHSS Mughal Maidan.
Meanwhile, Land pass books were also distributed among the land owners by the DC Kishtwar in presence of concerned Officers. A plantation drive was also conducted inside the premises of TRC Mughal Maidan.
