DC Reasi discusses formulation of Distt Employment & Skill Dev Plan

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner Reasi, BabilaRakwal chaired a meeting to discuss the formulation of the District Skill Committee and District Employment Plan, here on Wednesday.
A detailed power presentation regarding roles and responsibilities of the District Skill Committee, besides proposals for framing the District Employment plan was presented in the meeting.
The DC directed each department to start a youth aspiration survey using all available resources and seek suggestions from the Committee members regarding the formulation of a solid workable District Skill Plan within the shortest possible time.
“Formulation of skill development plan is the first priority of the District Administration with a focus on creation of a robust skill ecosystem, which will enable youth to get maximum skilling opportunities within the districts” , the DC said.
Earlier, the ACD apprised the DC about the status of Self employment Schemes being implemented in the district.
The DC directed the concerned officers to work on identification of the unemployed youth and motivate and groom them for different livelihood activities as per their qualifications.
The DC also stressed on working out a mechanism for post training adjustment of the persons undergoing training at ITIs, Polytechnics under different schemes and counselling& handholding to budding entrepreneurs.”Identify the potential sectors where the youth can be absorbed and provide Self employment avenues,” she asked the officers.
Among others,ADC Abdul Star, CPO SunitaKanchan, ACD, GMDIC, CEO, DSWO, District Manager Lead Bank, District officer KVIB, District Coordinator EDI and other members were present in the meeting.
