B’gam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza on Wednesday chaired a public darbar at village CG Dhar, Kakawring in Char-i-Sharief.
At the outset various PRIs, village elders and other respected from CG Dhar, Chraowni, Dardapora, Malpora, Kakawring, Old Basti, New Basti and other adjoining villages raised issues and demands with the DC and demanded timely resolution.
The issues and demands raised by locals include macadimization of roads including inner links, fencing of middle school, fencing of playfield, veterinary, OHT, bore wells at different spots, road development from New Basti to Hayatpora bridge, protection walls, adequate water supply facility, robust health and education facilities, improvement in HT/LT lines, Horticulture equipments, drainage constriction on main road, restoration of damaged protection walls including road potholes, pipeline laying for water supply, accommodation for Sub Centre facility, cab facility and other facilities.
On the occasion, DC called for timely resolution of all genuine issues and resolved many issues on the spot.
The district officers who were present on the occasion spoke about their self employment schemes and other public benefit initiatives and urged locals to take maximum benefits under these schemes.
Later, the DC along with other officers also visited the shrine of Syed AaliBalkhi R.A Pakherpora and took stock of arrangements and facilities there.
While paying his obeisance at the shrine, DC met members of local auqaf committee who raised various demands with the DC.
The DC also visited the BDO Pakherpora Office where various local delegations called upon the DC and raised various issues including water supply, power infrastructure, road development, improvement in health and education sectors in the area with him.
He gave them patient hearing and assured that all genuine demands shall be addressed on priority.
The DC informed that USG and X- Ray machines have been approved and shall be installed at the SDH soon, under development of Pakherpora as an aspirational block.
Stressing on the cleanliness and sanitation, the DC called for immediate lifting and removal of garbage dumped roadside from Char-i-Sharief upto Pakherpora stretch.
He called for immediate macadamization of Kandajan- Pakherpora roads and instructed concerned to carry out special sanitation drive in the area.
He also inspected various blocks and classrooms at Higher Secondary School Pakherpora and interacted with students.
During the visit, the DC inspected the Filtration Plant Mono and directed for carrying out necessary restoration works.
Among others, SDM Chadoora, ACD, CMO, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, Executive Engineers from various Engineering Wings, Tehsildar Charisharief, BMO, BDO, Dy. CEO and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
