Block Diwas Meet: DDC Shopian listens to public grievances, Assures timely action on public issues expeditiously

Shopian : In continuation to the weekly Block Diwas programme, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Wednesday chaired Block Diwas at Mini Secretariat, here.
DDC met scores of deputations of locals and PRIs who came from various areas of Shopian including Sedow, Borihalan, Dabijan, Keller, Hermain and Zainpora and listened to their grievances.
On the occasion, people projected various issues and demands of their respective areas including, macadamization of roads, potable drinking water facility, repair of lanes and bylanes, road connectivity, marriage assistance, assistance for tribals, better availability of electricity, assistance under PM- Kisan and other issues of public importance.
The DDC directed concerned officers to take up works as demanded by the public for immediate completion and also provide assistance to people as sought by them during the Public interaction programme.
He directed the officers to monitor the proceedings of Block Diwas and ensure that the record of grievances are maintained for follow up action.
The DDC assured the visiting delegations that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for appropriate action as expeditiously as possible and within norms.
ACD Shopian, CAHO, DIO, DSWO, BDOs, District officers and officials, PRI members, social activists, besides people in large numbers from various areas of the district participated in the Block Diwas.
