Reports said that VTWA members assembled at Press Enclave Srinagar and chanted slogans in favour of their demands. “It is unfortunate that the highly qualified youth are on the streets. From 2016, we have been demanding removal of VTPs as they snatch our rights,” a lady protester said.
She said that from time to time, they approached the concerned authorities to seek the removal of VTPs. “We also met the Lieutenant Governor where we presented our demands. We were told that our demands are genuine. However, nothing has been done in this regard,” she said.
“We are here to protest against the Vocational Training Partner (VTPs. They should be removed at earliest while the government should also frame a new job policy for us,” she said
