Tourism Deptt.hosts awareness prog on cleanliness at Purmandal

Samba : Department of Tourism, in collaboration with District Administration Samba today conducted NukkadNatak, cultural programmes, singing and other activities to promote cleanliness in Purmandal.
The programme was organized under the aegis of Directorate of Tourism and SMDA for social mobilization.
Avtar Singh, DDC member, Purmandal, Sudershan Singh, BDC Chairman Purmandal, PRI members, CEO SMDA and District Tourism Officer and a large number of locals, visitors and pilgrims participated in the awareness campaign on cleanliness.
The campaign aimed to create awareness among Tourists and local stakeholders about hazards of plastic and benefits of a clean and green environment. The programme was part of the Tourism Department deliverables.
The artists of AjeetNirman development foundation and local cultural troupes presented a scintillating theme based show.
An awareness camp was also conducted on the registration of Home stays and its benefits to the host community.
