The invention and then the public use of Mobile phones was described as one of the best appliances invented which will provide incomparable comfort to the people as far as the telecommunication system is concerned. Undoubtedly, this small instrument proved to be more useful than it was claimed to be. Initially it only worked as a telephone, so it brought revolutionary changes in the field of communication. Due to mobile phones, people can now stay connected, talk with their relatives and friends and also even talk to their business associates anytime and anywhere on the telephone from anywhere and at any time, discuss and take direction, can give instructions too. But gradually companies started adding apps to this phone. First the music was added then the video was added. First there was a steel camera then video cameras also came in mobile phones. Smart phones have changed the whole look of mobile phones. Now it has taken the form of a computer. There is hardly any such app or software which is not in smart mobile phones. But with the advent of all these people have got addicted to it. Whoever you see is cool on the mobile phone. Now the distance between people is increasing instead of decreasing. Now due to these applications on the phone, it has become almost nil for people to meet each other. It would not be wrong to say that due to this the importance of human relationships is diminishing and human feelings are ending. Much more has happened because of these developments, we will talk about it Mobile phones a few years back have occupied the place of a computer. This smartphone is no way less than a computer in hand. Hardly there is any feature or application which is not available or cannot be used on smart mobile phones. In fact it is wrong to say smart phone as a phone.
The phone which was initially used for making telephone calls only is now being used as an all round instrument for not only listening to music and viewing videos but also making and editing audio as well as video files and movies also. But the biggest feature available on the mobile phones of nowadays is the use of social media. This has attracted people of every region, age and group and has made them addicted to some extent. Social media have also become a major source of information and knowledge for all including those who could not continue their education. This media has also proved to be a boon for the student community. But on the other hand this media has become a strong tool in the hands of those who made all out efforts to create confusion and hatred among the people of different communities and groups. Social media has also created a misunderstanding among friends and relatives because of politicized postings and then reaction towards their postings. Anyhow social media is to some extent a personal matter and it is up to an individual to use this or not and if one decides to use then he himself has to draw the line between wrong and right. But the phone itself is now also becoming a traffic hazard as most of the drivers of commercial or private vehicles use mobile phones while driving. This utilization of the mobile phone is not a personal matter and is causing inconvenience for others. One can see the drivers using mobile phones while driving are almost a problem for other people including other drivers and also for pedestrians. Traffic police must act against mobile users while driving and take stern action against such people. Traffic police must launch a special drive for these violators.
