DC Kishtwar discusses arrangements for I’ Day 22

DM asks deptts to strengthen "HarGharTiranga" campaign

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma on Monday chaired a meeting of line departments and other stakeholders to discuss the arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day-2022 and promotion of “HarGharTiranga” Campaign in the district here at conference Hall of DC Office Complex.
The meeting was informed that the Independence Day 2022 celebration will be held across the district Kishtwar with patriotic Zeal and national fervour this year.
The main function will be held at district headquarter Kishtwar, while local administration would hold celebrations at Sub-Division, Block and Tehsil levels.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the district heads of different departments to ensure their presence as well as the subordinate officers and officials in the Independence Day function both at the district headquarter as well as SDM, Tehsil and Block levels.
It was decided in the meeting that the venue for the main I-Day function shall be finalised later.
Meanwhile the arrangements for flag Hoisting, March past, display of Cultural items, sitting arrangements, stage setting and Venue preparation and refreshment for the I-Day celebration were discussed in the meeting. It was informed that the day would begin with the playing of ShanaiVadan.
Besides, directions were given to concerned officers to make foolproof security arrangements and adequate provision of drinking water, power supply, Medicare facility, sanitation, transport, traffic regulation, illumination of government buildings, deployment of fire tenders, seating arrangement, besides distribution of invitations etc.
The Deputy Commissioner assigned the responsibilities for different arrangements to each department and constituted several Committees to monitor the process.
The Chief Education Officer and other District officers were directed to furnish the list of meritorious students and officials/employees with exemplary works with brief description/notes from their departments who will be felicitated on the eve of I-Day celebration.
Senior officers of Army, Civil and Police administration besides other stakeholders gave valuable suggestions to make the I-Day celebration a grand event in the district.
The meeting also discussed the modalities for the promotion of the HarGharTiranga Campaign in the district which will be observed from 13th Aug to 15th August 2022 under the aegis of AzadiKaAmrut Mahotsav-India@75.
The DC informed that the district has projected the demand of about 31,000 flags and asked the RDD department-the nodal agency for the campaign to make all out efforts to make the Campaign a success.
The DC enjoined upon all stakeholders to ensure that the citizens learn and follow the Standard protocol to honour the National Flag.
He also informed that one can “Pin a flag” virtually at https://harghartiranga.com along with posting a selfie with flag on the site.
Regarding the ” National Anthem Singing competition, the DC instructed the designated officers/officials to make sincere efforts and share the link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScoHGJFJD4ngdnkgNZjPU-ZtGKuN0bdSMuARL5dqXMxm6tsCw/viewform among the citizens/students so that they can upload their videos. “The National Anthem singing competition will be held for three sub categories viz 13-18 yrs (individual) ,above 18 yrs age (Individual) and in group category before 7th August 2022” he informed.
Meanwhile, Principal GDC Kishtwar was asked to rope in NCC and NSS volunteers and conduct “Special Sanitation-cum-awareness Drive” in collaboration with Municipal Council Kishtwar at public places to promote Cleanliness and single use plastic ban among the citizens.
The meeting was attended by ASP, Rajinder Singh; JD Planning MohdIqbal; ACD, AtulDutt Sharma; DPO, Sunil Bhutyal; DFO. Sagar Singh; DFO Marwah Vijay Kumar, senior Officers of CISF, CRPF besides other District officers and representatives of different departments.
