Admin insensitive towards people’s issues, demands immediate compensation to flash flood hit families of Khansahib constituency

"Construction of School, hospital buildings should be completed on priority basis"

Budgam|Aug,2: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&K PDF ) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has urged the government to provide relief and compensation to the affected families of Khansahib area immediately whose property , crops and cattle were destroyed during the recent flash floods in the area.
Severa; deputations from Khansahib ,who called on PDF Chairman  to apprise him about some pressing issues confronting themcomplained that they have not been provided any kind of relief or compensation in lieu of heavy losses caused to their property , crops and cattle during recent incessant rains and flash flood in the area  . The deputationists also complained that no officer or concerned field agencies have so far visited the affected families to asses the quantum of damage caused due to the natural calamity .

Hakeem while expressing concern over the insensitiveness of the administration towards people’s problems , assured them that their concern will be conveyed to concerned authorities including Divisional Commissioner Kashmir ,District Development Commissioner Budgam and the concerned district officers for seeking redressal of their grievances . He said that recent flash floods have wrecked havoc to crops ,life and property in various areas of Khansahib constituency adding that government was duty bound to come to the rescue of the affected families as they have completely lost their livelihood. He instantly shot a letter to Div. Com to inform him about the burning problems confronting people of Khansahib area.
PDF Chairman has also urged the government to complete various under-construction buildings belonging to various departments especially Health and education departments adding that after investing crores of rupees , these buildings have been left incomplete since last about 10 years just for some petty funds . He has sought intervention of LG Manoj Sinha so that construction of all the incomplete buildings was completed and put to public use at an earliest .
He said very small amount of funds was now needed for completing construction of these buildings which have been left unattended / incomplete after spending huge funds . He said government should release requisite funds for construction of all hospital and school buildings on priority basis.
