Police facilitates meeting with NOKs of slain police personnel in Handwara

Handwara: Police in Handwara on Saturday facilitated an interaction meeting with families of slain police personnel at DPL Handwara.
According to a police statement issued on Saturday the meeting was chaired by SP Handwara Sheema Nabi Qasba accompanied by ASP Handwara. Besides SDPO Handwara, DySP PC Kralgund and other officers of Police Handwara were also present on the occasion. The meeting was attended by NOKs of the slain police personnel of Police District Handwara.
The meeting was, according to the above referred police statement, organised to take stock of the welfare of the families of the police personnel who have laid down their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the country. The chairing officer while addressing the NOK’s of slain cops assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority. The chairing officer also emphasised upon the NOKs of slain police personnel to consider Police department as their family and share their problems with them.
During interaction, various grievances were raised by the participants and they were assured that these issues will be taken up at appropriate level for timely redressal. NOKs of slain police personnel expressed their satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond.
