DC Kupwara reviews ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ preparations, Dev activities

Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir on Saturday chaired a meeting of all concerned Officers, here to review the preparations for celebrations of ‘Har GharTiranga’ programme to mark the 75th Independence Day under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues related to successful implementation of the programme and was informed that the programme aims at to invoke a feeling of patriotism among the citizens and promote a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence. The programme is being held from August 13 to August 15, this year.
The DC enjoined upon all officers and field functionaries to play a proactive role for successful conduct of the programme across the district. He also stressed them to ensure all necessary arrangements well in advance to make the programme a grand success.
He asked the officers of Rural Development Department to ensure active participation of PRIs in the programme at panchayat levels adding that the RDD is the Nodal Agency for the programme. Other officers were also directed to take all required measures for the success of the programme.
The DC enjoined upon all stakeholders to go through the Flag Code and follow Standard protocol to honour the National Flag.
Meanwhile, the DC reviewed progress of Amrit Sarovars and other developmental works being executed under district capex budget.
The DC received feedback from the concerned officers and engineers and stressed upon them to redouble their efforts and ensure completion of all targeted works within the stipulated timeframe. He warned them that any kind of laxity will not be tolerated in any case.
Khalid Jahangir said administration is committed for the welfare of the society and time bound completion of developmental works is responsibility of the concerned officer/engineer.
Principals of all Degree Colleges; Assistant Commissioner Development; Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, Chief Education officer, CMO, District Social Welfare officer, ARTO, ZEOs, Tehsildars, Block Development officers, Accounts officer, DC Office , CDPOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
