Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya : 24X7 Power supply to far flung Purmandal-Utterbeni area bears testimony to Government’s achievements: DDC Chairman

“No village in Samba without Power Supply”

Samba : As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to celebrate 75 years of India’s Independence, the Ministry of Power Friday organized a ‘Bijli Mahotsav’ under the aegis of Ujjawal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya progamme here at Utterbehni , Samba.
The progamme was organized by JPDCL in collaboration with District Administration Samba.
Chairman District Development Council, Keshav Dutt Sharma was the Chief Guest at the function also attended by Vice Chairman DDC Balwan Singh; Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta besides other DDC members and PRI members.
In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the creation of vast infrastructure to strengthen the power supply scenario in District Samba. He said round the clock power supply to far flung Purmandal Utaerbani area itself bears testimony to the government’s achievements recorded in the power sector. He said no village was without power supply in Samba district.
The Bijli Mahotsav is being celebrated all over the country under the umbrella of Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @2047 for more public participation and getting across the developments in the power sector to the citizens at large.
During the programme, key achievements under the Power sector were including, manifold increase in generation capacity making the Nation from a power deficit to power surplus country, addition of new transmission lines, connecting the entire country into one grid running on one frequency, emerging as the largest integrated grid in the world.
To engage with the visitors and guests, cultural programmes, nukkad nataks and screening of short films on the power sector were also organized.
Letters of appreciation and gifts were distributed among the beneficiaries and participants.
The vote of thanks was presented by SE JPDCL (Project) Neeraj Sharma.
Among others present on the occasion included Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, ADC suram, Er. Manhar Gupta. CE Projects JPDCL, Er. Neeraj Sharma. SE Projects JPDCL, Er. Vinod Baloch Xen Projects JPDCL, Er. Bhola Nath Bhandari. Xen O & M Division Samba, Er. Vikas Gupta, AEE Projects Sub Division Samba and other staff were also present.
