B’gam : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza on Friday chaired a meeting to review updated progress on implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
The detailed review and status was put forth before DDC through a powerpoint presentation touching almost all aspects of the scheme. The chair was apprised that there are a total of 127555 households in the district which will be connected by the tap water connection. The total cost of the project is Rs960.00 Cr.
It is apt to mention that the deadline for the Har Ghar Jal Scheme is August 2023.
The DDC directed concerned officers to resolve the Bikamnar water Supply issue on priority basis. He also stressed on the officers to immediately speed up the process of works under the said scheme.
The meeting among others was attended by ADDC, JD Planning, SE Hydraulics, CMO, CEO, ACD, ACP, Ex. Engineers of PHE and other concerned officers.
