Jammu : To raise awareness and promote the online services available with the department for business professionals and the general public, the Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Thursday conducted a Digital Mela in its office complex here at Narwal.
Persons dealing with manufacturing, selling, repairing of Standards prescribed for weights and measures attended and given practical demonstration about steps to be followed for availing services.
The department of Legal Metrology has launched 7 services related to issuance of fresh and renewal of Manufacturing/ Dealership and Repairing Licences along with issuance of online Registration as Importer/ packer of pre-packed commodities.
At the end, an interactive session was held for clearing doubts of the visitors during availing of online services.
