4 day Digital JK Mela concludes in Rajouri

Rajouri : The Four Day Digital JK Mela concluded Thursday in Rajouri with overwhelming participation of the public witnessed on the last day.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, who was the chief guest at the culminating ceremony of the program, highlighted the activities and services provided to the people during the digital Mela.
The DC said the event showcased citizen-centric IT initiatives that have helped in bringing about greater transparency in governance and ease of living for citizens.
“The objective of celebrating Digital mela was to popularize and promote the e-Services launched by the Government for the general masses”, he added. Over 8000 varied digital services were provided to the general public during the mela.
The last day of Digital JK Mela witnessed multifarious activities. Different departments had put up stalls depicting the online services available with them. The resource persons of the departments gave demonstrations and motivated the public to avail the benefits of the same.
On the last day, three competitions were organised including quiz competition, painting and symposium and the winners of which were felicitated by the DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.
The Public also praised fruitful digital initiatives of the Govt and appealed for continuing such programs to meet their needs.
CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; Principal GMGHSS Rajouri, Abdul Raof Dar; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi besides other District and sectoral officers besides public in large numbers from all walks of life and students attended the event.
