Digital week-Day 03: Land Passbook distribution functions held across Ang

Ang : Continuing the celebration of Digital Week in Anantnag, many district level and sub district level functions were organised Wednesday by the Department of Revenue across the district for distribution of Land Passbooks.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr.PiyuJ&KSingla presided over the distribution function at SDM office at Bijbehara and handed over many land passbooks to the land owners present on the occasion. He also interacted with the landowners/ farmers and highlighted the benefits of land passbooks and said that the passbook is true to the land records and can be generated online.
Under Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme, the department has scanned voluminous revenue records and put them up in public domain under Apki Zameen, Apki Nigrani, he further said.
At Pahalgam, the function was chaired by ADC Anantnag, Gulzar Ahmad in presence of SDM Pahalgam, Nasir Ahmad and Tehsildar Pahalgam.
At Dak Banglow, Khanabal, ACR, Shoib Noor presided over a similar distribution function in presence of Tehsildar Anantnag, Mattan and Shangus. Similarly at Kokernag and Larnoo tehsils, SDM Kokernag, Sarib Sehran in presence of concerned Tehsildars handed over land passbooks to the landowners/farmers present on the occasion.
During the deliberations at Pahalgam, Kokernag and Anantnag, land holders were apprised about the significance of land passbooks. It was intimated that the department has worked very hard in preparing the passbooks and uploading on the web within a record time for the benefit of people.
