Jammu : Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the implementation of self employment schemes by different departments and finalize arrangements for holding of Block level awareness camps to promote these schemes among the youth.
CPO, Joginder Katoch, head of institutions and Officers of line departments including GM, DIC Jammu, the Principal of Polytechnic Govt College boys/girls, Chief Agriculture Officer, Jammu, Chief Horticulture Officer, Jammu, Chief AHO/SHO Jammu, Principal ITI Jammu, ACD Jammu, Jammu, District Coordinator Himayat Jammu, District officer, KVIB, District Coordinator Women Dev Corporation Jammu, ADs Handloom, Fisheries, KVIC Jammu and District Coordinator NRLM attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held on present status and steps being taken by line departments for effective implementation of the self employment schemes .
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized upon the officers to put in extra efforts to reach out to the unemployed youth and motivate them to avail the benefits of self employment schemes launched for J&K.
The meeting decided to hold awareness camps in all 20 blocks from 1st August, 2022 to encourage the youth to avail self-employment schemes to lead a dignified life.
The Deputy Commissioner also stressed upon officers of line departments to work in close coordination to achieve desired results.
