Quiz Competition under Digital J&K Week 2022 held at GDC Beerwah

B’gam : As part of Digital J&K Week 2022, the Department of Computer Sciences, Government Degree College Beerwah in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the college organized a Quiz Competition in the lab of the Computer Science Department, here.
The objective of the event was to spread awareness and sensitize the student community regarding various pathbreaking digital initiatives taken by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, informing the students about the various e-initiatives taken by the Government for ensuring digital access, digital delivery of various services, and affordability of social and financial inclusion.
The participants were allowed to register for the programme through online mode and in response 49 students registered for the event. The Quiz was based on 30 MCQ-type questions followed by a time-out procedure.
For smooth and fair conduct of the activity, rules were shared among all the participants. The quiz was conducted using the famous Quizizz app platform and participants connected through their mobile phones.
Prof Muhammad IqbalBhat, Head, Department of Computer Science hosted the Quiz Competition.
Speaking on the occasion, he deliberated on various initiatives taken under the banner of the Digital India flagship programme and their importance in the transformation and empowerment of the Country. He also highlighted the initiatives taken by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to digitally empower its citizens.
On the occasion, Prof. Zahoor Ahmad Shah (Al-Madani), Dr Firdous Ahmad Dar, NSS programme Officer, and other faculty members of the College were also present.
At the end of the Quiz Competition, SuhailNabi bagged 1st position, Rizwan bin Rahim and Peerzada Abdul Majid bagged the 2nd Position and Iqrar Rashid bagged the 3rd position.
The event successfully concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Firdous Ahmad Dar, NSS Programme Officer.
