B’gam: Police in Budgam on Monday facilitated Police-public interaction meeting at Police Post Pakherpora. The meeting was chaired by Incharge PP Pakherpora SI Irshad Ahmed. The meeting was attended by Traders Union of Pakherpora.
According to police issued on Monday the traders union during the said meeting raised several issues. While responding to them, the chairing officer redressed some of the issues pertaining to police on spot and was assured that rest of issues pertaining to other departments will be taken up with concerned authorities for early redressal. The traders’ union representatives were requested to install CCTV cameras in market in order to overcome the incidents of theft and other crimes and also maintain proper hygiene in the market. The Participants were also stressed to co-operate with Police and administration in maintaining L&O in the area and in identifying anti-national/anti social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
The participants assured their full cooperation to Police and appreciated the impartial role of Police in the execution of law and hailed the visible change in the behaviour, conduct, etiquette of Policemen towards general public.
