Celebration of Digital Week: Digi Mela Kick starts at Kulgam

Kulgam : On the first day of Digital Week, a Digi Mela was organized by the District Administration Kulgam within the premises of a mini-secretariat, here.
The mega digital mela was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.
President Municipal Council Kulgam, PRI members were also present besides ADDC, ADC, ACD, SDM Noorabad and other district officers were present on the occasion.
Stalls were set up by different departments aimed at creating awareness of over 200 online services launched by the government and providing online services on the spot among the general public.
The first day of the mela witnessed immense public response and officers, experts and resource persons were seen imparting awareness among people about the available online services.
Moreover, departments had prepared hoardings/banners showcasing the online services pertaining to their departments which were inspected by the DC also.
While addressing the gathering, the DC said that with an aim to bring transparency and ease for the public, the Government has started online services and to generate mass awareness about the online services delivery various departments will remain abuzz with awareness programmes and other activities throughout the week commencing from Monday.
He added that the Digital Programme has been launched with the aim to ensure digital access, digital delivery of services and digital inclusion of all in the district. Besides, the roll out of e-services has greatly benefited the public and brought transparency in the working of public offices.
After handing over land passbooks to various land holders of the district, the DC said that land passbooks and Digitization of land records is a landmark and historical achievement.
