3 IPS officers among 10 senior police officers transferred in J&K Police Admin

Jammu|July, 26: Three IPS officers are among ten police officers transferred in J&K Police Department. According to order issued from the Home Department of Jammu & Kashmir Government on Tuesday following transfers have been ordered:- 

  1. Umesh Kumar, IPS, awaiting posting in the Police Headquarters has been posted SO to ADGP, Railways, J&K, against an available vacancy.
  2. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav IPS, awaiting posting in the Police Headquarters has been posted as Divisional Commandant, Home Guards, Jammu, vice Vikas Gupta.
  3. Vikas Gupta, IPS , Divisional Commandant, Home Guards, Jammu, has been  transferred and posted as OSD in Prisons Department. One post from the overall cadre strength of IPS has been transferred to the Prisons Department for the purpose of drawl of salary of the officer.
  4. Maqsood-Ul-Zaman, SSP, awaiting posting in the Police Headquarters, has been posted as SO to IGP Traffic, J&K, relieving Javid Ahmed Koul, I/C DIG Traffic, Kashmir of the additional charge.
  5.  Dr S D Choudhary, SP, PTWS Srinagar, has been transferred and posted as SP Enforcement, against an available vacancy.
  6.  Sumir Kotwal, SP, awaiting posting in the Police Headquarters, is posted as Dy.CO IR-14th Bn., against an available vacancy.
  7.  Zulafqar Ahmad, Addl. SP Kulgam, has been transferred and posted Addl. SP CID CI, Rajouri , vice Balwant Raj.
  8.  Surinder Kumar, Dy.CO IR-9th Bn., has been transferred and posted Addl. SP Samba, against an available vacancy.
  9.  Balwant Raj, Addl. SP CID CI Rajouri,has been transferred and posted Dy.CO JKAP-8tll Bn., against an available vacancy.
  10.  Feroz Ahmad, Dy.CO IR-I I th Bn., has been  transferred and posted  SP, PTWS Srinagar, vice Dr S D Choudhary.
