Srinagar : As a part of public outreach programme, Police in Budgam facilitated a Police-public interaction meeting at Police Station Chadoora.
“The meeting was chaired by SDPO Charar-i-Sharief Salim Jehangir along with SHO PS Chadoora. The meeting was attended by prominent respectables of Shia community, respectable citizens of Chadoora & other adjacent areas,” said a police spokesperson.
“During the meeting various issues were discussed. Besides the issues related to police department, the participants put forth various grievances related to other civil departments. Discussions on various public issues regarding Muharram arrangements including proper traffic management and other issues related to Police were also made. The chairing officer assured full assistance from police during the Muharram days,” the spokesperson said.
“Participants were advised to maintain communal harmony among the society, participants assured of keeping peace and harmony in the area,” he said.
“The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely,” he added.
