Gulmarg : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Saturday paid a visit to the famous tourist destination Gulmarg where she took a detailed review of the developmental works associated with the renovation, beautification and upgradation of the international tourist resort.
The DC was apprised about the various services being provided to the tourists vis a vis measures taken for further improving the quality of services.
During her visit, Dr Sehrish interacted with locals, visitors, hoteliers and others and listened to their issues and grievances. She assured them that the government will take all necessary steps to develop the infrastructure of Gulmarg so that every facility is provided in a hassale free manner.
Emphasizing the need of involving human resource and all concerned for developing Gulmarg as an ideal tourist destination, the DC directed the officials of Gulmarg Development Authority to take concerted measures to ensure green and clean Gulmarg. She said that development works should be executed strictly keeping in view the natural beauty and landscape of the place.
CEO, Gulmarg Development Authority, Sub Divisional Magistrate Gulmarg, other functionaries of concerned departments including PHE and Forest were present on the occasion.
