Drug peddler arrested in Baramulla, psychotropic substance recovered : Police

Baramulla : Police on Friday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and also recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that a Police Party of Police Station Baramulla during patrolling at Stadium Colony Baramulla arrested a drug peddler identified as Gh Nabi Gojri son of Mohd Shaban Gojri resident of Qazi Hamam, Baramulla, Stating therein further that during checking 197 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon Plus were recovered from his possession following which he was shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated, Police in the concluding para of it’s statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood but warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Police in the concluding para of it’s abov e quoted statement also said that actions against drug peddlers are taken to keep society free from the scourge of drug menace.
