Arrangements for Digital Week celebrations finalized in Budgam

DC calls for prompt online services delivery to people

B’gam : The Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today chaired a meeting of officers to finalize arrangements for the celebration of Digital Week to be held from July 25 to 31 in Budgam.
At the outset, DC said that a Digi- Mela shall be held between July25- 27 at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall Budgam, where all concerned offices shall set up their stalls and generate awareness about online services provided to the general public.
Besides, he said that the Digi- Melas shall also be held at all SDM and Tehsil Headquarters of the district, where concerned offices shall ensures proper deployment of staff and installation of equipments.
Stressing on prompt and hassle-free delivery of online services, the DC called for celebrations of digital week at all Common Service Centres of the district.
He instructed concerned to raise awareness about online services through PRIs and Youth Clubs and through other IEC programmes including painting competitions to be held at various educational institutions.
Instructions were given that awareness be generated through distribution of pamphlets, hoardings, banners and loud speaker campaign be also launched across the district.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, GM DIC, JD Panning, ACD, SDMs, ACR, CMO, CEO and other district and sectorial officers.
