Doda : The Department of Agriculture Doda today distributed Maize Shellers among the the sarpanches of Ghat, Udhyanpur, Khaleni and Marmat blocks for community use here at a function held in the at Agriculture Complex.
Chairman District Development Council, Dhanantar Singh Kotwal was the Chief Guest, while the DDC Councillor Gundana, Asim Hashmi; DDC member Councillor, Marmat, Mushtaq Ahmed and BDC Chairman Khalleni Munish Kumar were the guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman appreciated the central and UT governments for launching different schemes for the benefit of farmers. He especially mentioned the role of PM Kisan in uplifting the status of the farming community. He advised the farmers to take maximum benefit of different schemes launched by the government for their benefit. He also appreciated the role of the Department in the implementation of CSS and other schemes.
DDC Gundana, Asim Hashmi advised the participants to take the maximum benefit of government schemes as it is the only sector which can guarantee prosperity. DDC, Marmat Mushtaq Ahmed and BDC Chairman Khaleni, Munish Kumar also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the work of the Department. They suggested different measures for the improvement of Departmental work.
